For F/W 2012, Wesley Nault and I returned to New York Fashion Week with The Queen of Martyrs, a darker evolution of the ethereal world we created for The Annunciation of the Virgin.

Rich fabrics, dramatic detailing, and a striking black velvet gown shifted the collection into a more provocative territory, where romanticism met restraint. Bondage-inspired elements ran throughout the presentation, creating a tension between strength and delicacy that informed the casting, styling, beauty, and overall atmosphere of the show.

I designed the Satori Breonn jewelry to echo that contrast, translating the collection’s more provocative motifs into refined, feminine pieces that became part of the larger visual story.
