Annunciation Of The Virgin

Inspired by The Annunciation of the Virgin and its Renaissance and Baroque depictions of Gabriel’s divine announcement to the Virgin Mary, Wesley Nault and I developed the presentation as a contemporary interpretation of the ethereal, symbolic imagery surrounding the biblical scene.

Together, we shaped the creative direction of the show, from model casting and presentation design to hair, makeup, styling, and the overall visual narrative. Wesley’s collection featured a white gown evoking Gabriel’s celestial presence and a hand-beaded gown that created a luminous halo around the Madonna, while black leather lilies, intricate lace, and sculptural details brought depth and contrast to the religious iconography.

I also designed the Satori Breonn jewelry specifically for the collection, creating pieces that became part of the presentation’s visual language rather than simply accessories. The jewelry, gowns, casting, beauty, and styling were considered as a complete composition, translating historical references into a modern fashion presentation that balanced femininity, symbolism, and theatricality.
